A
little about me:
I
worked my way through college, graduating
from UNLV with Bachelor’s degrees in both
Economics, and Hotel Administration. After
graduating, I became an Operations
Coordinator at McCarran International
Airport, where I am responsible for the
safety, and security of the airfield, and
travelling public. While working at the
airport, I obtained a Master’s Degree in
Aeronautical Science, with an emphasis in
management.
As
a member of the At Risk School
Committee with Valley High
School, I worked on many programs to
help at risk students graduate.
Also, as the Vice President of the
Alzheimer’s Association of Southern
Nevada, I've worked with the state
of Nevada, and was able to get a federal
grant for $750,000, which was matched by the
state, for a total of
$1.5 million
for seniors and individuals with
Alzheimer’s. I am also currently a parent
volunteer at my son’s school. I believe in
participating and being involved with our
children’s education.
I
have lived in Nevada for over 31 years, I am
married to Rina, a nurse, and we have two
sons, Don Jr. age 5, and David, age 3. I
strongly believe in
education,
job opportunities, family values, and
quality of life. As your
representative I vow to work hard for all
the members of Assembly District 42.
